Vintage 1940s Reindeer Puukko Knife and Sheath
A Puukko is a Scandinavian or Finnish knife. I bought this knife at a gun and knife show from an 88 year old man from Iron mountain michigan. He told me this came from lapland as a gift to his father from a cousin in finland in the 1940s.
Finland fought the Germans in what is know as the lapland war from sept 1944 to april 1945. After the war he never heard from his cousin again. The handle and sheath is made from reindeer antlers with leather securing the knife in the sheath. Not for sale.

This is a Model 1905 Springfield bayonet that was originally produced in 1906. The blade is in mint condition. I believe the blade to be the 1 st war blue finish done around 1917 Before that it would have had a bright blade. The scabbard is the Navy M 3.
This is model 1913 bayonet manufactured by Remington for the British in April 1917 With a mint blade. The blade is parkerized which I believe was done over the original finish which was usually a dull gray sandblasted finish.Note how the markings on the ricasso does not have the bend test mark which is an X. Scabbard is original from 1918 and is the second pattern with a tear drop hanger. Estimated value $ 200

Bayonet is mint with the original blue coating. Note the ricasso is lighter than the blade this only happens if the finish is original. This type of finish is only on the 1919-1921. The line on the ricaoso was called the temper line Very rare

1920 16in springfield 1905 bayonet with original finish along with a 1943 Navy M3 scabbard.Notise how the ricasso is lighter than the blade this only happens if the bayonet has an original finish.
